Job Description

Position Summary The Youth Director leads Lighthouse s collaborative student ministry, Parker Youth. This individual will shepherd students (middle school and high school) and their parents, create engaging and formative ministry environments, raise up and lead volunteers, and make disciples of Jesus who are passionate about His Kingdom. The Youth Director will create environments where students can belong, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and become disciples who follow Jesus for a lifetime.

Parker Youth is a collaborative student ministry operated jointly by Lighthouse Church and Aspen Grove Church in Parker, CO. Since 2022, Parker Youth has grown as both churches have committed to collaboration, community, and discipleship that leads students toward a lifelong faith in Jesus. Parker Youth gathers weekly on Wednesday evenings and participates in winter and summer camps, retreats, service opportunities, and special events designed to help students encounter Jesus and grow in their faith. Primary Responsibilities Student Discipleship & Ministry Leadership Provide spiritual leadership and vision for Parker Youth Teach, coordinate, or oversee biblical teaching during student gatherings. Build meaningful relationships with students through consistent presence, discipleship, and mentorship. Create environments where students feel welcomed, known, valued, and challenged in their faith. Encourage students to engage in worship, service, evangelism, and the broader life of the church. Volunteer Development Recruit, train, equip, and encourage adult volunteer leaders. Communicate regularly with volunteers and provide clear expectations and support. Parent Partnership Build strong relationships with parents and guardians. Communicate regularly regarding ministry events, teaching topics, and opportunities for student growth. Encourage and equip parents as the primary spiritual influence in their children's lives. Events & Administration Coordinate weekly gatherings and special events. Assist with planning and leading camps, retreats, service projects, and outreach opportunities. Manage ministry communication, registrations, calendars, and budget. Ensure all ministry activities follow church safety and child protection policies. Collaboration & Church Engagement Work closely with leadership from both Lighthouse Church and Aspen Grove Church. Participate in staff meetings and ministry planning. Help students connect with the broader life and mission of their local church. Qualifications Character & Calling Demonstrates a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Exhibits a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership. Agrees with and supports the mission, vision, values, and doctrine of Lighthouse Church. Displays humility, integrity, teachability, and a servant-hearted spirit. Possesses a genuine passion for discipling students and investing in the next generation. Skills & Experience Experience serving in student ministry or a related leadership role preferred. Ability to teach and communicate Scripture effectively to students. Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to recruit, equip, and lead volunteers. Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with church leadership. Success in This Role Success in this role is measured not simply by attendance, but by discipleship. The Youth Director will help cultivate a ministry where: Students are growing in their relationship with Jesus. Students feel known, loved, and connected to Christian community. Parents view Parker Youth as a trusted partner in discipling their children. Volunteers are equipped and thriving in ministry. New students are welcomed and integrated into the life of the ministry. Students are taking ownership of their faith and engaging in the mission of Jesus both inside and outside the church.
