We are located in Gulf Breeze, FL, and our mission is to reach our community with the love of Christ, build authentic disciples, and create a passionate environment for worship and the move of the Holy Spirit. East Bay is an established congregation with a strong foundation and significant opportunity for future growth. We are prayerfully seeking a pastor who will invest in our church family and surrounding community, build upon what God has already established, and lead East Bay faithfully into its next season of ministry. Who We Are Looking For East Bay Church is seeking a relational, Spirit-led pastor who feels called to invest in both our congregation and the surrounding community. We are looking for a leader who values people, discipleship, outreach, biblical preaching, and the work of the Holy Spirit. The ideal candidate will lead with humility, integrity, vision, and a desire to equip others for ministry rather than carry ministry alone. Position Summary The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual and executive leader of East Bay. They are responsible for preaching the Word of God, casting a clear biblical vision, providing pastoral care, and leading the staff and board to fulfill the church's mission. The Senior Pastor must model an exemplary Christian life and embrace and encourage the biblical operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Key ResponsibilitiesPreaching & Worship:
Prepare and deliver biblically sound, Spirit-empowered messages during Sunday services and special gatherings.Vision & Leadership:
Provide spiritual leadership and oversight to the assembly, working collaboratively with the church board, ministry leaders, and congregation to advance the mission and vision of East Bay Church. Serve as president of the corporation, chairman of each board, and an ex-officio member of all committees or departments, consistent with the church's governing documents.Pastoral Care & Ordinances:
Oversee regular pastoral care, hospital visits, biblical counseling, and officiate water baptisms, communion, weddings, and funerals.Staff & Administrative Oversight:
Lead, mentor, and evaluate church staff and key ministry volunteers while overseeing general church operations alongside the leadership board.Community Outreach:
Drive local evangelism initiatives to actively engage and serve the surrounding community.Leadership Development:
Identify, disciple, equip, and empower ministry leaders and volunteers to use their gifts and take ownership of ministry.Stewardship & Administration:
Work collaboratively with the board to promote responsible financial stewardship, transparency, accountability, and effective administration of church resources. Qualifications & RequirementsCredentials:
The pastor must be in good standing with both the General Council and the West Florida District Council of the Assemblies of God.Doctrinal Alignment:
Uncompromising agreement with the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.Experience:
Preferred:
3-5 years of proven pastoral leadership experience as a senior pastor, associate pastor, or in equivalent pastoral leadership within an AG or similar Spirit-filled church.Character:
Exemplify the biblical qualifications of an elder/pastor outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.Relational Leadership:
Demonstrate an ability to build trust, communicate clearly, work collaboratively with church leadership, and cultivate healthy relationships across generations.Community Focus:
Possess a genuine desire to engage the Gulf Breeze and surrounding communities and lead the church in evangelism, service, and discipleship. How to Apply Interested candidates should submit the following components for review:- A current resume
