Job Description

The Director of Ministry is responsible for directing a meaningful Ministry program throughout Moorings Park Institute that provides worship, support, guidance, education, and pastoral/spiritual/end of life care for residents and partners of Moorings Park.
Your Contributions:
Plans/conducts or supports weekly non-denominational worship services in collaboration with the Pastoral Chaplain. Conducts or supports all other scheduled liturgical services, Bible studies, Memorial services, support groups and educational programs. Works with the Pastoral Chaplain to produce the worship materials required for these programs/services. Provides spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families under the hospice program or other end-of-life support programs, including hospitalizations and in-home care. Conduct spiritual assessments of patients, taking into account mental, emotional, physical and spiritual stresses, and respond with appropriate counseling and care. Responsible for all religious and spiritual education, and special event services including, but not limited to, support groups, luncheons, films, lectures, bible studies and devotionals throughout all Moorings Park communities. Coordinates outside services. Other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Christian Ministry or equivalent Minimum of ten years work experience in the ministry and leading a church congregation.
