First Baptist Church Americus is seeking a Director/Minister of Worship to lead and shape the worship ministry of our growing, multigenerational church in Southwest Georgia. We are looking for a relational and collaborative ministry leader who loves Jesus, loves the local church, and can lead people in meaningful congregational worship. Our worship ministry includes both choir and band elements and is moving toward a blended style with a slight modern lean.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead congregational worship for weekly services and special eventsPlan worship services in collaboration with the pastor and ministry staffRecruit, disciple, organize, and develop musicians and worship volunteersLead rehearsals and cultivate a healthy, team-oriented worship cultureHelp oversee worship-related technology, media, and service flowHelp shape the long-term direction and strategy of the worship ministryUse music and worship as tools for community building, outreach, and connection, including creative opportunities beyond Sunday morningParticipate meaningfully in the broader ministry and life of the church

Qualifications:

Strong Christian character and love for the local churchStrong vocal and/or instrumental abilityAbility to lead modern worship within a blended worship environmentRelational, dependable, collaborative, and able to develop volunteersMinistry experience and/or relevant education preferredOrdination is welcome but not required

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:
