Job Description
St. James Episcopal Church seeks a full-time Assistant Rector to join our clergy and staff team in advancing our mission of worship, formation, fellowship, and service in the way of Jesus Christ. Reporting to the Rector, the Assistant Rector will share in the sacramental, pastoral, and teaching ministries of the parish, as well as provide primary leadership for youth and family ministries as well as newcomer engagement, and outreach. This position includes the possibility of leadership in other areas of parish ministry as desired and agreed upon with the Rector.
St. James is located on the historic Marietta Square, and offers all the pleasures of a small town - a walkable downtown home to restaurants, civic and arts institutions, award winning public schools, and the seat of county government - located just a half hour away from everything that the city of Atlanta has to offer.
