Responsibilities Deliver spiritual care and Christian counseling tailored to patients' beliefs and preferences, fostering hope and comfort during challenging moments Lead bereavement support programs, including individual counseling sessions, group grief workshops, and memorial events that promote healing and connection Develop and implement educational presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, and spiritual well-being for staff, volunteers, and community groups Serve as a public speaker at community events to raise awareness about hospice services and the importance of spiritual support in end-of-life care Mentor and train volunteers and staff in crisis intervention techniques, conflict management, and compassionate communication skills Manage crisis situations with sensitivity and professionalism, providing immediate emotional support to patients or families experiencing acute grief or distress Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care that respects cultural diversity and individual spiritual preferences Requirements Proven experience in hospice care or bereavement support with strong knowledge of grief processes and emotional healing strategies Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, mentor volunteers, and manage multiple projects effectively Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and facilitate meaningful conversations Strong event planning abilities for organizing memorial services, educational workshops, and community outreach activities Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict management, and crisis management techniques to handle sensitive situations with compassion Background in Christian counseling or related spiritual disciplines preferred; certification from relevant religious or pastoral organizations is a plus Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to holistic patient care Join us in creating a nurturing environment where faith-based support transforms the end-of-life experience into one of dignity, hope, and peace.
