Job Description
Purpose To help further Grace Church's mission by discipling families in Christ. The Next Gen Pastor will provide vision, oversight, and direction for the family ministry (infant-high school), while building relationships, developing leaders, and equipping volunteers. Responsibilities Pray for the students of Grace Church and their families Seek to lead children, youth, and their families to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, through evangelism, discipleship, worship, prayer, ministry, and fellowship Provide a welcoming ministry to both churched and unchurched families by engaging the community Come alongside parents to help them raise their children in Christ Implement a cohesive curriculum plan that will unify instruction for children through high school, helping to ensure both a "deep and wide" understanding in the Scriptures and of Christian living Equip volunteers to become multiplying disciples of Christ Support students outside the church walls by attending extracurricular activities Oversee/lead ongoing weekly student activities Qualifications Has a growing personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ Is a man who meets the standards for elder, laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 Is a team player and humble, willing to serve under the direction of the senior pastor and elder team Has a clear call to pastoral ministry Is growing in personal prayer Relational and approachable Knows the Word of God and is able to effectively teach and communicate truth Strong leadership, organizational, & administrative skills, able to cultivate teams and equip leaders Implements a healthy work/rest routine in life Has a passion to create an environment for spiritual growth in children, youth and their families Is in full agreement with the EFCA statement of faith and doctrinal distinctives Self-motivated and dependable, recognizing certain workdays will have 2nd shift hours (Noon—8) Education and Experience Has regularly served on a team in the area of children, youth or family ministry Has a bachelor's degree (preferred)
