Job Description for Worship and/or Youth Pastor First Baptist Church of Bonners Ferry, ID Salary and benefits: TBD Qualifications 1. Be a man of mature Christian character whose life reflects the characteristics of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. 2. Subscribe to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message, Constitution, By-Laws, goals and policies of First Baptist Church. 3. A Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience in music, youth and Biblical studies or related ministry field of study preferred.
Responsibilities:
Worship Pastor 1. Plan and organize all worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor. 2. Act as primary worship leader. 3. Select, train, schedule and rehearse Praise Team members, including instrumentalists and vocalists. 4. Prepare/coordinate visual projection of song lyrics for worship services. 5. Prepare/coordinate visual graphics and slide presentations for sermons and event promotions. 6. Develop a yearly Ministry Budget. 7. Recruit, train and schedule volunteers for Worship and Audio/Visual teams. 8. Knowledge of or experience with current music, planning and presentation software. 9. Knowledge and operational experience with digital sound boards and general sound equipment. 10. Maintain lobby TV graphics, hearing-aid monitor system and audio/visual computers. 11. Provide assistance at special events (weddings, funerals, and other church functions). 12. Perform other duties as assigned including removing stage equipment for events when needed. 13. Will be supervised by the Senior Pastor. Youth Pastor (Grades 6-12) 1. Provide oversight of Youth Ministry (including curriculum, activities, etc.). 2. Organize and coordinate a balanced approach to student ministry that includes Bible study, discipleship training, outreach, recreation, fellowship and mission action. 3. Provide Christian guidance and pastoral care to meet the special needs of young people and their parents. 4. Keep up to date on the latest educational methods, trends and lingo for this age group. 5. Maintain a consistent Wednesday night youth group and Sunday school class. 6. Be familiar with computers/software for social media, event promotion and graphics as needed. 7. Be available to attend and/or coordinate the sign-ups for a high school summer camp. 8. Develop a yearly Ministry budget. 9. Be available nights and weekends for scheduled youth ministry events as well as to work with the pastor in making emergency pastoral care visits as needed. 10. Visit prospects and members related to Youth Ministry. 11. Recruit, train and schedule volunteers to help with Youth Ministry activities. 12. Perform other duties as assigned. 13. Will be supervised by the Senior Pastor.
