This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/jobs/13626976 Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School seeks an Elementary and Spiritual Care Teacher to serve as a minister of Christian education within the school, responsible for teaching all elementary subjects as well as the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions, nurturing spiritual growth, and providing spiritual care to students and their families. This position supports the schools mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ through faithful Gospel proclamation, Christ-centered education, and compassionate spiritual guidance, all grounded in Lutheran theology and practice. Active member in good standing of a Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod congregation; Bachelors degree in Theology, Religious Education, or Education (foreign equivalent degree is acceptable); Minimum of 12 months experience teaching Scripture within the Lutheran confessional tradition; Documented experience in Christian missionary work or ministry abroad, within Lutheran or ecumenical Christian contexts; Documented experience in cross-cultural proclamation of the Gospel through teaching, discipleship, community development, or spiritual care ministries.
