Lead people into a passionate encounter with God through the worship experience of praising God with our voices, intruments, and hearts. We worship on Sunday morning at a Traditional 8:30am service and a modern 10:30am service. Lead and support our worship teams to provide music that supports our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

UMC HISTORY

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church is a very healthy church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, reaching people in southern Indiana and Louisville, KY. As a part of the United Methodist denomination, Wesley Chapel is known as a bible preaching and teaching church with a strong servant-leader laity. While there is a solid history, there is even a better future for the continued growth of this great church with their vision of being "rooted in Christ, growing in grace."

LOCATION / DEMOGRAPHIC

Located on a brand new campus, Wesley Chapel is close to major roads making it very accessible to guests coming from any direction. The church family ranges from the middle to upper middle-class socio-economic bracket, but this church is so warm and friendly that the extremely poor and rich alike feel welcome. There are residential and business developments within a short drive, as well as a wide variety of restaurants. This is a multi-generational church and you will find the entire family worshiping together. This is a great place to raise a family.

WORSHIP STYLE

Currently Wesley Chapel offers one traditional and two modern worship services. The traditional service is entirely lay led with piano and vocals, and is wonderfully energetic and joyful. The two modern services are identical and use the current band-driven modern song list. The church family loves the worship services. There is not a "division" between traditional and modern but rather a unity that celebrates difference worship tastes.

LEADERSHIP

Pastor Tony Alstott leads the way with the biblical principle of servant-leadership. He is humble, hard working and very approachable - this entire church family is approachable! The church membership is also involved in leading all areas of the church; the staff doesn't have to do it all.  This style of leadership keeps staff hires to a minimum, and the laity very valued. The other pastors at Wesley Chapel are talented, humble, committed and unified. Pastor Tony has been at Wesley Chapel for five years, is very happy with the church's potential and is leading in a way to ensure the church is positioned to be very effective in ministry for a long time.
