Teach and encourage sound biblical doctrine consistent with General Baptist beliefs. Support Bible studies, discipleship opportunities, and spiritual growth within the congregation. Pastoral Care Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and encouragement to church members. Visit members, shut-ins, hospitals, and nursing homes as needed. Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral functions. Pray for and minister to individuals and families experiencing spiritual or personal needs. Leadership Work cooperatively with deacons, church officers, and ministry leaders. Help develop and implement the church's vision and ministry goals. Encourage participation in worship, discipleship, missions, and outreach. Promote unity, fellowship, and spiritual maturity within the church. Community Outreach Represent the church in the local community. Encourage evangelism and outreach efforts. Build relationships that help connect the church with the surrounding community. Qualifications A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a personal call to pastoral ministry. Agreement with General Baptist doctrine and practices. Demonstrated ability to preach and teach God's Word effectively. Strong Christian character and lifestyle consistent with biblical qualifications for pastors outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Ability to work effectively with people of all ages.
