Job Description

MINISTER OF
WORSHIP and MEDIA Full-time Position Northside Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Minister of Worship to lead and develop a Christ-centered worship ministry that aligns with the church's mission, values, and theology. This role reports to the Pastor and includes worship planning, volunteer leadership, choir and band direction, and oversight of media and technology that support weekly services and church events.
Key Responsibilities:
This position leads the planning, organization, and execution of the church's worship ministry while also supporting media, audiovisual, and technology needs across the church.
  • Plan and lead weekly worship services in collaboration with the Pastor and church staff.
  • Direct adult choir, worship band, accompanists, youth band, and other music or creative teams.
  • Oversee rehearsals, special music, worship scheduling, and service preparation.
  • Manage media presentations, livestream or recording support, and related audiovisual needs for services and events.
  • Provide leadership for church technology needs, including sound, computers, projection, and other worship support systems.
  • Support church communications through website updates, graphics, and online ministry tools as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, outreach efforts, and other pastoral or ministry responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be committed Christians with a welcoming, servant-hearted approach to ministry. A bachelor's degree is required, along with relevant experience in worship planning, instrumental and vocal leadership, and team coordination. Familiarity with sound systems, presentation software, and church technology is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to support and teach in a manner consistent with the Southern Baptist Convention's Baptist Faith and Message, 2000.
