Job Description

Redeemer Community Church Kids Director Position Hours 10 hours weekly Position Purpose To help lead, guide, and shepherd the mission of helping our RCC kids and families take their next steps towards Christ. This position will execute, oversee, and facilitate our Sunday morning kids programming and potentially other programs we develop for children & families in the future. This will be done in partnership with other staff & elders as we all seek to bring glory to God in all that we do. •
Note:
This position does not require weekly attendance in kids programming. The primary focus is overseeing and supporting volunteer teams. Staff are expected to attend Sunday worship gatherings at least three times per month. Position Qualifications The candidate should possess; some experience and/or education in this particular area; the desire and ability to diligently and confidentially lead our RCC Kids & Family ministries & volunteers. This should be done with a positive spirit and team mentality, an obvious love for the Lord, His Word and people. Reporting Relations Reports directly to the Worship/Associate Minister; responsible also to the Lead Pastor & Elders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • recruit volunteers for RCC Kids programing
  • schedule volunteers, periodically shadow, and oversee the growth and development of our teachers
  • create/prepare Biblically centered curriculum for non-nursery classes. (This will be done in partnership with a volunteer team that adapts curriculum quarterly so that it is prepared in advance.)
  • develop engaging classroom spaces that encourage children to learn and grow
  • build relationships with children and their families
  • ministry specific admin is required and can be clarified if interested. All admin can be done within required hours. Expectations
  • clear and relatively quick communication (with staff & team)
  • maintain administrative duties with timeliness and organization
  • attend service three times monthly
  • attend staff meetings weekly (when possible but flexible with individual)
  • attend Sunday service meeting at 9:40 as much as possible
  • weekly check-ins with direct report
