Job Description
Locust Grove Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky seeks a pastor. Whether he is full-time or bi-vocational depends on God's will for our church. Interested candidates should meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 in addition to being licensed to preach in the state of Kentucky and an ordained Southern Baptist minister. The ideal candidate will preach from the entire Word of God, lead with a servant's heart, and nurture the spiritual growth of the church. Locust Grove is a small rural church located in Calloway County, Western Kentucky. Average Sunday morning attendance is 30. At this time, there are no Sunday evening services. Wednesday evening hosts our growing youth program, GROVEKids, with prayer meeting for the parents. The church is associated with the Blood River and Kentucky Baptist Associations as well as the Southern Baptist Convention. Founded in 1841, Locust Grove BC is one of the oldest churches in Calloway County. It has a rich history of service, including assisting in the establishment of First Baptist Church Murray in 1846.
