Job Summary Are you an energetic and passionate Christian who loves teenagers and is an out-of-the-box thinker? Jefferson UMC in Baton Rouge is seeking a 1/4 time Youth Director to help develop an effective youth ministry

Responsibilities:

The Youth Director will have responsibilities for all programming for youth in grades 6 - 12. This individual will lead Sunday afternoon Bible study and fellowship activities for youth; provide leadership on Sunday mornings; and, engage in outreach to youth and their parents.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the faith, and leads by example
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and develop creative and innovative programming
• Adept in using social media as a communication and outreach tool
• Team player who works well with others
• Excellent written and personal communication skills
• United Methodist preferred
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must be age 23 or older.

Compensation:

This is a 1/4 time position. 10 hours per week. ($12,000 per year)
