Job Description
The Children's Ministry Leader will lead, develop, promote, and coordinate a balanced program of activities and discipleship for children, from infants through 5th grade. Core Responsibilities
- Execute the vision for children's ministry at Hebron Baptist Church.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee Sunday children's church (Pre-K4-5th Grade).
- Plan, prepare, and oversee Sunday school lessons for (Infants-5th Grade). o Or an appointed leader.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee Wednesday night service (Pre-K4-5th Grade).
- Oversee nursery operations, including scheduling and communication with nursery staff and volunteers.
- May have an appointed leader for nursery operations.
- Write and/or prepare curriculum and activities for children's worship services and events.
- Recruit, train, and communicate with the children's ministry team.
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to fully staff the children's ministry.
- Communicate with parents frequently.
- Research, recommend, and provide resources for parents and families to aid in discipleship.
- Plan and participate in children's summer camps.
- Plan and participate in, or delegate, Vacation Bible School.
- Lead, train, and disciple the Children's Ministry Intern, if one is provided.
- Work in conjunction with the Senior Pastor and staff for the training, planning, and execution of events.
- Attend church council and business meetings to give ministry reports.
- The Children's Ministry Leader will report to the Senior Pastor. Personal Attributes
