Full Time Pastor or Bi-Vocational Pastor Thompson Road Baptist Church | Slidell, LA Description TRBC is seeking a Full Time or Bi-Vocational Pastor. TRBC is a small, mission-minded Southern Baptist church located in Slidell, LA., north of Lake Pontchartrain, approximately 35 minutes from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. TRBC is known as a loving and engaged church within the Northshore Baptists Association. Our mission is "People Pointing People to Jesus" and we are in search of a Pastor that has a heart for supporting that mission and our congregation of approximately 50 - 60 average attending members. We are actively involved in numerous ministries: Operation Christmas Child (served 18 years as a drop-off location), Good News Club (at a local elementary school), Trunk R Treat, Vacation Bible School and Scouting America (Cub Scout Boy/Girl Pack and a Boy/Girl Troop) as well as Courtside Ministries. In addition, TRBC supports the following ministries financially: Community Christian Concern (local food bank & resource center for people in need), The Crisis Pregnancy Center (supporting life affirming care and family resources), Global missions (Uganda). Our church sits on 9 acres of property with a 7000 sq. ft. building and has no outstanding debt. Slidell's area schools grade out at a B+ and Slidell, LA has a population of 28,781 as of the 2020 census, which leaves room for potential growth for the right Pastor willing to invest in outreach, Sunday worship and Wednesday bible studies. We have been praying for the one that God is calling to shepherd our church family through all the seasons of life, that believes in biblical teaching and the power of prayer as a healthy foundation for a church.
