Job Description
Bethlehem, located in Middle River, Maryland, is seeking a Youth Pastor and Ministry Site Director to lead ministry among middle and high school students. This position is a joint appointment between Bethlehem and Youth for Christ and is designed to reach students in both the church and the surrounding community. The Youth Pastor will provide spiritual leadership for Bethlehem's student ministry while developing a strong ministry presence within the local high school through Youth for Christ. The successful candidate will be passionate about building meaningful relationships with students and their families, clearly teaching the Bible, and helping young people grow in their relationships with Jesus and one another. Primary Responsibilities
- Build authentic, Christ-centered relationships with students and their families.
- Maintain an active presence in students' lives through schools, homes, extracurricular activities, and community events.
- Plan and lead Bible studies, student gatherings, service projects, retreats, conferences, and fellowship opportunities.
- Teach and preach from Scripture with Jesus as the foundation of all instruction.
- Recruit, train, equip, and support adult volunteers and student leaders.
- Strengthen the partnership between Bethlehem and the local Youth for Christ ministry site.
- Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, volunteers, and the congregation.
- Implement and maintain compliance with Bethlehem's Youth Protection Policy and Youth for Christ standards.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts and responsibly manage ministry funds within established church policies.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least three years of ministry experience.
- Strong moral character and spiritual maturity.
- Self-motivated, organized, and relationally driven.
- Ability to connect effectively with students, parents, volunteers, church members, and community partners.
- Successful completion of a background check.
