Liberty Church is a long-established congregation in Westminster, MD, of approximately 75 people who seek to make the gospel known in Carroll County, Maryland. The church's pastor of more than 30 years is retiring, and the church is looking for someone to serve this community.

Church Vision :

Liberty is a compassionate congregation of Christ-followers accustomed to biblical preaching and teaching and desiring to grow numerically and spiritually. Liberty is a church bound by a belief in the fundamentals of the Christian faith as historically practiced with liberty of conscience for those points of doctrine that are non-fundamental. The ideal candidate will seek to lead by Christ's example as he shepherds the congregation and church staff and works together with the Elders, Deacons, and Trustees to guide Liberty Church according to scripture and our vision.

Primary responsibilities include:

a. Preaching from the Word of God, weekly; b. Pastoral Care including counseling, visitations, and comforting the grieving; c. Evangelism and Outreach to the local community; d. Discipling those already committed to Christ and Liberty Church's vision; and e. Additional Duties including administering Communion, performing the marriage ceremony, Baptism, and conducting funerals.

Minimum Education:

Liberty Church is open to the right biblically-qualified man regardless of educational background.

Minimum Experience:

Liberty Church is open to the right biblically-qualified man regardless of experience, but previous pastoral experience is a plus.

Compensation :
