Full Job Description Position:
Frontline Student Ministry Coordinator Reports to: Student ministry pastor
Direct Reports:
None Objective:
To assist in growing a thriving student ministry through administrative and leadership.
Spiritual Gifts Needed:
Administration; Encouraging;
Shepherding Part-time:
15-20 hours per week including Sunday morning 8:30-11:00, Sunday evenings 3:30-8:30, and Wednesdays 9-5 + four hours per week that are flexible.
Required travel:
one week over the summer in June for Never the Same Camp, two weekends of travel in the winter months for winter camp.
Position Overview:
To assist in developing and leading an effective and dynamic student ministry of 6 through 12 grade that results in new and returning students accepting Christ and becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus for the rest of their lives.
Spiritual Qualifications:
Maintains a healthy and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ that includes the consistent practice of the spiritual disciplines Maintains a reputation of unquestioned integrity Required to be a Member of Frontline Community Church, abiding by all the expectations inherent with that Consistently seeks to help fulfill the stated mission of Frontline Church Be teachable, respectful, humble, and willing to be held accountable Seeks to work in collaboration with others to achieve desired goals Has the ability to clearly communicate the gospel and their testimony Seeks and lives in community, not isolated Has a burden for prayer
Professional Qualifications:
Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills A track record of being able to recruit, develop, and manage leaders and volunteers Be a self-starter with drive, passion, and initiative Excellent relational skills Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to set and achieve goals A proven track record of effective youth leadership At least two years of volunteer or paid student ministry leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer administrative support for ongoing student ministry including ordering supplies, helping to plan programming, and communicating with volunteers. Provide oversight over either a high school or middle school environment in collaboration with the student pastor. Advocate for student ministry with parents, including their input in key decisions. Assist in crafting regular experiences, retreats, and connect opportunities throughout the year for connection and spiritual formation in students. Oversee Sunday morning "middle school hangout" and provide serving opportunities for students on Sunday mornings. Foster an environment for discipleship and engagement with students and creatively build energy and momentum by utilizing Sundays and Sunday services Assist in the annual budget planning for Student Ministries Pursue and oversee serving opportunities for students in 6 - 12 grade for worship services Attend staff meetings and retreats as requested Be accessible to Frontline congregation before and after worship services Plan and execute a quarterly Ministry Action Plan (MAP) with both short-term and long-term goals
