Job Description

This full-time position is one of several ministry area Directors. This director (with Pastor of Teaching and Discipleship) serves as a key leader in advancing the vision, leadership, recruiting, equipping, teaching, structure, outcomes, ministry health and oversight to Student Ministries (6th grade through 12th grade). This director develops and executes comprehensive planning for all aspects of Student Ministries. Working closely with pastors, staff and ministry leaders, this position helps ensure that all programs align with the mission and vision of the church. This person is responsible for building a relationally driven, leader-multiplying ministry including a safe, engaging, and spiritually formative ministry that partners with others to helps students grow into lifelong disciples of Jesus.
Note:
Kids Ministry (Nursery-5th Grade) is led by the Kids Ministry Director, requiring strong collaboration for transitions.
Job Responsibilities:
Ministry Oversight (Plan & Execute Weekly Programs & Environments) (Est. 8-10 hrs/week) Vision, Strategy, Collaboration & Discipleship Pathways (Est. 6-8 hrs/week) Teaching & Spiritual Leadership (Est. 6-8 hrs/week) Leader Support & Development (Est. 5-7 hrs/week) Volunteer Recruitment, Development & Care (Est. 5-7 hrs/week) Communication to staff, volunteers, parents and children (Est. 4-6 hrs/week) Other Responsibilities (Est. 4-6 hrs/week)

Ability to lead and develop volunteers - lead leaders who lead people
Creative Vision:
ability to evaluate and discern current success and programs, ability to vision cast solutions plus being able to develop new programs, ministries and experiences Dedicated and Passionate about reaching young people for Christ Strong Leadership Skills that include the ability to inspire, train, and manage a team of volunteers A self-starter with strong follow-through skills; good at self-managing Excellent organizational skills. Able to plan/execute events, manage calendars/scheduling, etc Strong technology skills with the ability to produce documentation, use electronic communication in various forms to work with staff, volunteers, as well as communicating information to kids, students, and parents Naturally embraces and adapts to growth, change, innovation, and creativity Uses appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality Has a cooperative, healthy, and motivating relationship with supervisors and coworkers Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with others Strong communication skills Capable of budget planning and expense management Can navigate conflict well (quickly and Biblically - Per the principles in Matthew 18), demonstrates the ability to manage disputes and foster team collaboration outcomes
Additional Requirements:
Believes and supports the evangelical Christian faith in the Reformed tradition, as outlined in the Organizational Convictions of the Alliance of Reformed Churches. Actively worshipping and involved at Remembrance Church within 3 months of start. Membership at Remembrance Church (within 6 months of the start of employment) Bachelor's Degree with proven experience preferred Pass a background and child protective check. Valid Driver's license
