Position Summary The Pastor of Student Ministries will provide visionary, pastoral, and hands-on leadership for Bell Creek's ministry to students in grades 5-12. This pastor will shepherd students toward spiritual maturity through faithful teaching of God's Word, intentional discipleship, meaningful relationships, and gospel-centered outreach. The Student Pastor will work alongside the pastors, elders, staff, volunteers, and parents to help students grow into mature disciples who delight in Christ and live out their faith with conviction and humility. Primary ResponsibilitiesShepherd Students
  • Teach God's Word faithfully through weekly Bible studies, discipleship groups, retreats, camps, and special events.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students that encourage spiritual growth and biblical accountability.
  • Help students develop a genuine love for God, His Word, His Church, and His mission.
  • Encourage students to identify and use their spiritual gifts in service to the local church. Equip Parents
  • Partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their children.
  • Provide encouragement, biblical resources, and regular communication that strengthens family discipleship.
  • Foster relationships with families through personal interaction, prayer, and pastoral care. Lead the Student Ministry
  • Provide leadership for Bell Creek's ministries serving students in grades 5-12, including Sunday morning Bible studies, Wednesday evening gatherings, retreats, mission trips, service projects, and outreach events.
  • Develop a clear discipleship pathway that moves students toward increasing spiritual maturity.
  • Recruit, train, encourage, and shepherd volunteer leaders (both adult and student).
  • Create a ministry culture marked by biblical truth, genuine relationships, joyful service, and Christ-centered fellowship.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-organized ministry environment. Serve as a Pastor
  • Participate fully in the life and ministry of Bell Creek Community Church.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral staff and elders in advancing the church's overall mission.
  • Assist with pastoral responsibilities as needed, including teaching, counseling, visitation, and leadership development.
  • Model a life of humility, integrity, prayer, and joyful dependence upon Christ.
  • Preach and teach on Sunday mornings as opportunity allows. Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • A clear testimony of saving faith in Jesus Christ.
  • A vibrant and growing relationship with Christ that is evident in personal holiness and spiritual maturity.
  • Full agreement with Bell Creek Community Church's Statement of Faith.
  • A wholehearted commitment to the authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of Scripture.
  • A passion for making disciples and shepherding students.
  • Strong biblical teaching and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • The ability to recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; theological training or seminary education is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience leading student ministry is preferred. Personal Characteristics We are seeking someone who is:

  • Regularly engaged in Scripture, prayer, worship, and Christian community.
  • Serving both inside and outside the church.
  • Sharing the gospel with their friends.
  • Developing into mature disciples who will faithfully follow Christ throughout their lives. Compensation Bell Creek Community Church offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with education, experience, and ministry qualifications.
