Job Description

Saginaw Kids Director/Pastor (Full time)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provide leadership to grow the Family Ministries of Hopevale Church
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven team builder who can envision, equip, and empower healthy teams of staff and volunteers Relational and approachable, with a genuine love for kids, parents, and ministry leaders Strong communicator who can cast vision, create clarity, navigate difficult conversations, and equip others Strategic leader who can establish priorities and lead through others to bring plans to completion
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Three to five years of kids or family ministry leadership experience preferred Multisite campus ministry experience preferred Ministry-related education or theological training preferred
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide vision, direction, and leadership for Hopevale Kids at the Saginaw Campus, birth through 5th grade Lead, develop, and provide accountability for the Kids Ministry staff team Build a healthy ministry culture where staff and volunteers are equipped to lead through apprenticeship Champion welcoming, engaging, and age-appropriate ministry environments Lead a culture of child safety by ensuring Kids Ministry staff and volunteers are screened, trained, and equipped according to Hopevale's child protection policies Collaborate with student pastor to develop a clear discipleship pathway that helps kids know and follow Jesus, creating an intentional transition from Kids Ministry into Student Ministry Equip and resource parents as the primary spiritual influence in the lives of their kids, while creating opportunities for parents to connect with and build relationships with other parents Provide pastoral care for kids, families, and volunteers Collaborate with Bay City kids director around shared ministry philosophy, curriculum, systems, and best practices Manage the Saginaw Kids Ministry budget and steward ministry resources effectively Other duties as assigned
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Must exhibit an authentic and contagious relationship with Jesus Christ, both upfront and in their personal life. Must be able to embrace and agree with Hopevale Church's statement of faith available at org/what-we-believe.
