Job Description

SUMMARY The Elementary Director leads ministry for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, creating environments where kids can know, love, and follow Jesus. This role provides vision, leadership, and execution for all Elementary Ministry programming, including Sunday gatherings, Wednesday night midweek programming, and special events. The Director builds strong relationships with children, families, and volunteers while cultivating a safe, engaging, and spiritually formative culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for Elementary Ministry Lead and execute Sunday morning and Wednesday night midweek programming Recruit, equip, schedule, and care for volunteer teams Create engaging, age-appropriate, gospel-centered experiences Ensure environments are safe, organized, and welcoming for every child Build relationships with kids and support families in discipleship Communicate clearly with volunteers and families each week Plan and lead key events (VBS, seasonal services, and family gatherings) Collaborate with church staff to align with overall mission and vision

SCHEDULE
Weekly Sunday morning programming Wednesday night midweek programming (appx. 36 weeks/year) Weekly staff collaboration and planning time (currently Mondays and Thursdays) Event-based ministry (VBS, holidays, family events) Flexible hours for preparation, communication, and leadership development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Alignment with Aspen Grove Network beliefs, mission, and values Experience leading volunteers or ministry environments preferred Experience working with children and/or families preferred
COMPENSATION RANGE AND BENEFITS
PTO Pay Range - $25,000 - $30,000 annually
