Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington, MO, is hiring for the position of Campus Minister. The Campus Minister, in conjunction with the campus chaplain, is responsible for faith formation efforts at St. Francis Borgia High School. The Campus Minister will create, plan, and implement programs and events to create missionary disciples of Jesus Christ out of the student body and SFBHS faculty and staff. This year-round position, which is financially supported by the local parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Francis Borgia, is located at St. Francis Borgia High School and reports to the SFBHS Principal with ministry guidance and mentorship from the SFBHS Chaplain. The start date will be as soon as practical depending on the availability of the chosen candidate and the school calendar.   • 12th grade retreat programs Grow and evaluate our service program offerings Build opportunities for reflection and prayer within the SFBHS community Ensure alignment of pastoral programs with theology courses and student activities Cultivate leadership opportunities for students to help build pastoral programs Participate in ongoing theological and faith-formation opportunities Organize and implement an annual regional 8th-grade retreat program Support parish priests in ministering to high school-age parishioners who do not attend St.
Francis Borgia High School Quarterly updates to Pastors and SFBHS leadership Other duties as assigned Work Schedule School Year
  • aligns with the academic calendar, includes some evenings and weekends Summer

  • monthly off-campus youth ministry event / office hours Job Requirements Preferred Qualifications Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology, religious education, or the equivalent, from a Catholic college or university OR be working toward religious education certification as directed by the Archdiocese of St.
Louis Office of Catholic Education and Formation Successful pastoral leadership experience at the high school level Understanding of liturgy, Christian service, and retreat programs Excellent organization and communication skills Practicing Catholic with a commitment to ministry in education The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
