401(k) matching Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Responsibilities Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care is searching for a Chaplain with hospice experience to join our team. The Chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team and reports to the Director of Clinical Services. Providing direct spiritual support and/or counsel to patients/families. Working with staff, clergy and community groups to enhance the spiritual needs of patients/families. Providing consultation and education for patients/families and interdisciplinary team members. Providing bereavement follow-up services as defined by Hospice. Maintaining proper records of visits to patients/families. Education/Experience Must be ordained or have ecclesiastical endorsement from the individual's denomination and have been approved to function in a pastoral capacity. Must have experience working with patients and families dealing with life threatening illness and/or death. Qualifications Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate with various stakeholders. Must have excellent organization, and be able to multitask Must be able to function in a highly stressful environment Have a general understanding of hospice and home health services.
