Part-Time Youth & Children's Director Asbury Methodist Church - Lincolnton, NC Do you have a heart for helping children and youth grow in their faith? Are you passionate about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the next generation? Asbury Methodist Church is seeking an enthusiastic, Christ-centered leader to serve as our Part-Time Youth & Children's Director. Position Summary The Youth & Children's Director will provide leadership for our ministries with children (birth-5th grade) and youth (6th-12th grade). This individual will build relationships with children, students, parents, and volunteers while creating engaging opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, worship, and outreach.

Responsibilities Include:

 Lead and coordinate Children's Church on Sunday mornings.  Plan and lead a weekly youth gathering.  Recruit, train, and encourage ministry volunteers.  Plan family events, Vacation Bible School, mission opportunities, and special activities.  Communicate regularly with parents and families.  Help welcome and connect new children and youth to the church.  Work closely with the Pastor and church leadership to grow a vibrant ministry. Qualifications  A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing Christian faith.  A heart for children, youth, and families.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Previous experience in children's or youth ministry is preferred but not required.  Must successfully complete a background check and comply with the church's Safe Sanctuary policies. The mission of the Youth and Children's Ministry is to mesh into this overall mission by educating and encouraging every child and youth in knowing Jesus, growing in their faith, building positive relationships, discovering their gifts and using those gifts to joyfully serve God and others. We will be interview the month of October/November and starting date will be January 1, 2027.
