Full Time Purpose:
The Worship Director is responsible for leading the worship ministry of Mission Church. Responsibilities include planning Sunday services with pastoral staff, developing musicians and vocalists, scheduling volunteers, and helping manage the tech team alongside the creative media coordinator.Duties:
Oversee leading worship during Sunday morning church services, holiday services, and special events. Collaborate with other ministry areas to coordinate musical programming for events such as weddings, funerals, and family ministry activities. Evaluate, develop, direct, and disciple a volunteer worship team. Works closely with the lead pastor and creative media coordinator to plan weekly services, including the order of service, song selection, videos, etc. Oversee the creative ministry coordinator and the communications coordinator to support and provide direction to audio/visual teams, social media, and ensure clear communication across all platforms. Plan, prepare, and lead worship team/band practices. Ensures that music equipment on stage is up to date and operational. Works with vendors to maintain and service musical equipment on the stage, in the sanctuary, and for live streaming. Assist in the development of an annual budget for worship and media ministry. Identify and train a team member to lead during the director s absence. Attend all staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Personal, active, and growing relationship with God. Musically talented, vocally and/or instrumentally. Music/Ministry degree preferred. Ability to lead a team of volunteer musicians, vocalists, and bands. 3-5 years of experience in music leadership in a church setting is preferred. Experience with Planning Center is preferred. Experience with Audio/Video equipment is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong people skills and a team player. Willingness to become a faithful member of Mission Church.
