Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Spiritual Care Coordinator/Chaplain - PRN (as needed) to provide spiritual support, guidance, and counseling to patients and their families during challenging end-of-life journeys. Duties Provide spiritual assessment and individualized spiritual care plans for patients facing terminal illness Offer pastoral counseling, religious guidance, and bereavement support to patients and their families Conduct religious services, prayer sessions, or rituals aligned with patients' faith traditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict management during emotionally charged situations Lead educational sessions on religious studies or spiritual topics for staff or community groups Assist in event planning for memorial services, grief support groups, or community outreach initiatives Maintain detailed documentation of spiritual assessments, interventions, and patient progress in compliance with organizational policies Qualifications Proven experience working as a clergyperson or in religious leadership within a nonprofit faith-based organization Strong background in biblical theology, pastoral theology, and religious teaching across diverse communities Skilled in public speaking, presentation delivery, and effective communication with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to provide terminal illness counseling, crisis intervention, and bereavement support Excellent writing skills for documentation and educational materials Experience in hospice care or working with families facing end-of-life issues is highly preferred Knowledge of event planning, conflict management, and mentoring techniques to foster community engagement Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams This rewarding role invites you to bring your spiritual leadership talents into a supportive environment where compassion meets professional excellence.
