Job Description

LiquidChurch.com Liquid Church is a growing Multisite Non-Denominational Church with 7 locations across New Jersey. We are currently looking to hire a part-time worship leader at our Union County
  • Garwood campus in Garwood, NJ.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about worship, leading people, and growing our worship department alongside our other Liquid Church worship leaders. We require 2 years or so of previous Worship Team involvement, preferably in a leadership role. We are looking for candidates who live in or near Garwood, NJ. This role will require Sunday leadership, administrative tasks throughout the week such as scheduling and communicating with the team and Tuesday morning meetings (1 Worship department meeting and 1 Campus team meeting) for a total of 18 hours . We will also require a video of you leading worship or singing to be considered for this position. Sunday Lead our Garwood Campus in Worship Other Responsibilities Review past services for improvements and to identify best practices Participate in the planning of future services Rehearse with the worship team (weeknights) Volunteers Management Recruit
  • Identify/approach interested individuals and process interest forms, working through the role-specific recruiting and selection process Retain
  • Regular communication (through email, text, huddles and team meetings), maintain and communicate the schedule, foster community within and provide spiritual care to the team members Reward
  • Appreciate and celebrate team members regularly Requirements Knowledge
  • basic understanding of music theory Abilities
  • competent instrumentalist (guitar or piano) and vocal proficiency Experience
  • Minimum 2 years on a Worship Team at a church of 250 or more, leadership of a Worship Team preferred Schedule
  • Available Sundays from setup to teardown, for virtual meetings during the week, specifically Tuesday, and a weeknight rehearsal Tech Savvy
  • Learns quickly and can adapt to changing technology with ease, experience with Google application preferred Communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Relational ability
  • A "people" person who works well with Staff and volunteers of varying personality types. Leadership
  • Ability to lead under pressure with an optimistic attitude
