Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a PRN Hospice Chaplain, where you will provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. As a PRN (as needed) chaplain, you will deliver personalized spiritual care, fostering comfort, hope, and peace for those facing life-limiting illnesses. Your presence and expertise will help families navigate grief and find solace through compassionate listening, crisis intervention, and spiritual mentoring. Responsibilities Provide spiritual support and counseling tailored to each patient's faith background and personal beliefs Offer bereavement support to families coping with loss, including grief counseling and emotional reassurance Conduct religious services, prayer sessions, or devotional activities as appropriate to patient needs Assist patients and families with crisis intervention during difficult moments or emotional distress Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice team members to develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate spiritual needs Lead educational sessions on topics such as hospice care, grief management, and spiritual wellness for staff, patients, and community groups Facilitate community outreach events focused on spiritual health, public speaking engagements, or teaching opportunities related to hospice care and spiritual counseling Qualifications Ordained, commissioned or credentialed according to the practices of an organized religious group OR has a degree in theology or from a seminary Comfortable in an interfaith setting Hospice experience preferred Able to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey complex concepts clearly Demonstrated leadership in mentoring others or guiding groups through educational or spiritual activities Proficiency in presentation skills for public speaking engagements and event planning for community outreach programs Knowledge of crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies in emotionally charged situations Experience in conflict management and conflict resolution within diverse populations Prior experience providing hospice or palliative care with a focus on spiritual or religious support preferred Join us in delivering heartfelt spiritual care that transforms end-of-life experiences into moments of peace, hope, and connection.
