This vital role offers an opportunity to serve in a compassionate, faith-based environment, delivering comfort and guidance during times of crisis, grief, and spiritual need. As a PRN Chaplain, you will be an essential presence in our organization, fostering hope and healing through your spiritual leadership and counseling expertise. Duties Offer spiritual guidance, pastoral counseling, and bereavement support to patients and families experiencing terminal illness or crisis during night shifts Provide religious leadership by conducting prayer services, religious rites, and sacraments as appropriate within the scope of your faith tradition Assist families with grief processes, crisis intervention, and conflict management to promote emotional well-being and spiritual resilience Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into patient treatment plans and facilitate holistic healing Engage in public speaking and teaching religious studies or biblical theology when needed for educational or support groups Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual assessments, interventions, and patient interactions in compliance with organizational policies Plan and participate in special events or memorial services that support the emotional needs of patients and staff Experience Proven experience working as a clergyperson within a nonprofit faith-based organization or healthcare setting such as hospice care or hospital chaplaincy Strong background in pastoral theology, Christian counseling, and terminal illness counseling with the ability to provide compassionate crisis management Excellent communication skills for effective spiritual guidance, conflict resolution, and working with families during difficult times Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, crisis management strategies, and working under pressure during night shifts Knowledge of biblical theology and religious leadership principles necessary for providing comprehensive spiritual support
