Job Description

Position:

Worship Leader (Part-Time)

Job Type:

Part-Time (Approximately 5 Hours Per Week)

Pay:

$18.75-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Sundays (approximately 2 hours) and flexible preparation and rehearsal times during the week. First Congregational Church of Riga is seeking a dedicated and Christ-centered Worship Leader to lead our congregation in worship. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys serving in a small, welcoming church environment and is passionate about helping others connect with God through music and worship. The Worship Leader works closely with the Pastor to plan and lead worship services that support the spiritual life and mission of the church. Responsibilities Lead congregational worship during services. Collaborate with the Pastor to select music that complements sermon themes. Prepare and rehearse music for weekly worship services. Encourage congregational participation and engagement in worship. Coordinate with volunteer musicians and vocalists, as applicable. Participate in special worship services throughout the year, including Christmas, Easter, and others. Assist with the musical component of church events, such as Christmas plays. Qualifications A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, actively pursuing a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and the teachings of Scriptures. Experience leading worship, music ministry, or congregational singing. Strong vocal abilities Proficiency in piano, guitar, or another instrument. . Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and ministry minded. Requirements Must be willing to become a member of First Congregational Church of Riga. Must support the mission, values, and ministry of the church. Must be available to lead worship on Sunday mornings.
