Job Description
Crown Hill Mennonite Church is seeking a full time pastor to work alongside the Elders and Leadership Team to shepherd our congregation through this current time of transition and into the years to come. Key Responsibilities 1. Spiritual Leadership and Worship Planning Preach the Word of God as the primary preacher for weekly worship services Rooted in strong Biblical knowledge and based in Anabaptist theology Relatable to a range of ages of the congregation Applicable to everyday life Assist in planning weekly worship services Encourage the congregation toward efforts that advance the gospel Offer pastoral leadership to the congregation Facilitate Bible Study and prayer meetings while encouraging/training congregation members to lead as well 2. Pastoral Care Be passionate about reaching and discipling the next generation of leaders Visit those in the hospital and nursing homes Perform marriages and funerals Administer the Lord's Supper Offer Biblical Counsel to those who request it (2 Timothy 4:2) Help facilitate outreach events and follow up processes Teach doctrine to those wishing to be baptized 3. Administrative and Collaboration with Leadership Attend monthly meetings with the Elders and Leadership Team Engage in strategic planning and vision development with the church leadership Support church teams in guiding ministry programs Keep records of births, deaths, marriages and membership Work with administrative assistant to produce weekly newsletter 4. Character/Training Be known for purity and an example of faithfulness Represent the qualifications listed in 1
