Job Description
Job Summary Weekly Ministry Leadership:
- Plan and lead weekly youth group gatherings that include Bible teaching, worship, discussion, and fun activities.
- Create a welcoming and safe environment where students feel known, loved, and valued
- Incorporate prayer, Scripture, and Christ-centered conversation into all aspects of youth ministry
Relational Discipleship:
- Build meaningful relationships with students through mentoring, outreach, and intentional follow-up.
- Encourage spiritual growth through personal example, biblical guidance, and prayer.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and schedule adult volunteers to assist in youth ministry programming
- Equip leaders to build strong relationships with students and lead small groups
Event Planning:
- Organize youth-focused events such as retreats, service projects, game nights, and mission opportunities.
- Collaborate with the church staff and parents to ensure effective planning and communication
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain attendance records, permission forms, and communication with parents
- Promote youth events through church announcements, flyers, and digital communication.
Qualifications:
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for youth ministry
- Experience working with teenagers in a church, camp, or educational setting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to teach Scripture in an engaging and relevant way
- A team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with staff and parents
- Agreement with the mission, vision, and doctrinal beliefs of Mt.
