Job Description
Summary:
First, this person will lead our youth ministry as the primary bible teacher for our teenagers, ensure their safety, and build godly relationships with youth and families. Second, this person will lead our Small Group Ministry at DCOG in order to strengthen the faith of the body. As an Associate Pastor this person will assist with preaching and pastoral care. Responsibilities 1.DCOG Youth Discipleship:
Teach the Bible to youth in age appropriate, engaging, and biblically sound ways that is grounded in the gospel once a week. Host an activity once a month; serve, social, or fun. Mentor youth where appropriate. 2.DCOG Youth Volunteers:
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers. 3.DCOG Small Groups:
Recruit, develop, and encourage small group leaders. Promote the small group ministry at DCOG, develop, and multiply small groups. 4. Serve as part of the elder team at DCOG, preach twice a year, and assist with pastoral care for the congregation.Safety & Security:
Ensure all volunteers and procedures adhere to DCOG Safe Sanctuary Policy.Promote Unity:
Support the Mission and values of DCOG as well as those of the Churches of God General Conference. Qualifications- A dedicated follower of Jesus Christ.
Christian Maturity:
Meets biblical requirements for Pastoral Ministry (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).- Able to become a member of Duncannon Church of God and support the doctrine of the Churches of God General conference.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Experience:
Previous youth ministry experience
Education:
Working toward Pastoral education and willing to pursue licensing with the Churches of God.Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
