Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic individual to serve as a spiritual leader and pastoral caregiver within our faith-based organization in Harrisburg. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide spiritual guidance, bereavement support, and religious education to diverse communities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a heartfelt commitment to serving others through pastoral counseling, religious teaching, and crisis intervention. As a vital member of our team, you will foster spiritual growth, support families during times of terminal illness, and lead community events that inspire hope and connection. Duties Deliver pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals and families facing grief, terminal illness, or personal crises Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and educational programs focused on biblical theology and Christian teachings Provide bereavement support by offering comfort and practical assistance to grieving families Engage in public speaking engagements to promote faith-based initiatives and community outreach programs Facilitate workshops on religious studies, spiritual development, and crisis management for diverse audiences Collaborate with healthcare providers in hospice care settings to ensure holistic support for terminally ill patients Plan and coordinate community events, retreats, and educational seminars that foster spiritual growth and fellowship Mentor clergy peers and lay leaders in effective ministry practices while managing conflict resolution within the community Qualifications Proven experience working as a clergyperson or in a religious leadership role within a nonprofit faith-based organization Strong background in teaching religious studies, pastoral theology, and Christian counseling Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex theological concepts clearly and engagingly Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, terminal illness counseling, and working with culturally diverse communities Skilled in event planning, conflict management, mentoring, and public speaking Knowledge of hospice care practices and working with families during difficult times Exceptional writing skills for preparing sermons, reports, and educational materials Ability to provide compassionate support through bereavement services while maintaining professional boundaries Bachelor's degree or higher in theology, pastoral studies or related field; advanced certifications preferred Join us in making a meaningful difference by guiding others through their spiritual journeys. Pay:
$213.47 - $257.08 per day
