The primary responsibilities of the part-time or stipend worship leader or worship assistant will be to help lead a contemporary Christian worship service, and grow the music ministry at The Dwelling Place Church. This person is directly accountable to the church's Lead Pastor and Director of Worship Ministry. The candidate will possess an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable a worship ministry to grow with us as we continue to develop a spirit-led worship experience as a new non-denominational church. It is desired that the worship leader can both act as a lead musician [guitar or keys] and lead vocalist (but we will consider candidates that can fill at least one of those roles). Song Selection is current contemporary Christian and praise music (i.e. Brandon Lake, Hillsong Worship, Chris Tomlin, Passion Elevation Worship, Chris Brown, Maverick City Worship, UpperRoom). Currently the position is listed as an independent contractor role but the position is able to grow as the church grows. Depending on skill-set and fit opportunities range from background singer or band member to assistant worship leader or worship leader.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. A

heart for Christ and a strong biblically-centered ministry philosophy and theology. A desire to continue growing in your faith as a follower of Christ and person of integrity. Demonstrated leadership in being able to disciple those in his/her sphere of influence. 2. Provide leadership, vision, and passion for The Dwelling Place in the area of music worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of our church. Help lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities, which align with the mission and vision at TDP. New ministry opportunities could invite more opportunities for working hours if desired. 3. Coordinate with the supervisors to create and lead our congregation in worship during our regular Sunday service and help recruit and develop a worship team, and scheduling vocalists. This would include leading worship practice as needed. 4. Proficiency in leading worship with a strong vocal ability. Capability of leading and with a guitar and/or keyboard is preferred, but not a requirement. 5. When available, assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services. Including new worship collective initiative. 6. When available, perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor and Director of Worship Ministry. 7. Willing to agree to the church's statement of faith and philosophy of ministry. 8. It is anticipated that the duties associated with this position will take no less than 1 hour and no more than 5 hours per week. 9.
