They utilize knowledge and skills in Spiritual & Palliative Care to assist patients and families in faith based medical decision making, spiritual distress, and spiritual counseling. PC Chaplains educate PC Team members on primary spiritual care, language and knowledge to provide culturally appropriate person-centered care to patients and families. PC Chaplain also engages in teaching residents, fellows, medical students, etc. on best practices when providing spiritual care in a healthcare setting.
