Job Description Youth Ministries (20-25 hrs./week): The Assistant Pastor will primarily be responsible for recruiting, building, and developing a team and providing pastoral leadership for an annual youth program (6th-12th grade) and ensure a balanced disciple-making process. With a significant turn-over from a core group of graduating seniors, this role requires a passion for outreach. Worship (15-20 hrs./week): The Assistant Pastor will be responsible for the worship ministries of Watsontown Alliance Church. The role will include recruiting, building, developing, and overseeing the Praise Team and A/V Team. The purpose is to help create an environment that invites people to worship God in spirit and in truth. The worship style will aim toward contemporary worship with an appreciation and inclusion of historic, well-loved hymns. Teaching (5 hrs./week): The Assistant Pastor will be asked to teach for Sunday Morning Worship approximately 2-4 times a year. See the full expectations and responsibilities. Qualifications Education & Experience Undergraduate degree preferred. A Biblical or ministerial degree is strongly preferred. Must have Biblical knowledge and be theologically sound Previous experience in worship and/or youth (does not need to be from a paid position) Must be able to become licensed through the Christian and Missionary Alliance and supportive of the mission of the Alliance family
