This role provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and strategic oversight while recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and chaplains who serve justice-involved youth. The ideal candidate brings strong ministry experience, leadership ability, and a heart for mentoring and counseling juvenile populations. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee juvenile ministry programs across multiple juvenile centers statewide Recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers and chaplains Provide spiritual leadership through preaching, teaching, mentoring, and counseling youth Develop and implement strategic plans to expand and strengthen ministry impact Collaborate with juvenile center staff and ministry partners to ensure effective program delivery Manage ministry operations, including scheduling, reporting, and volunteer coordination Ensure all ministry activities align with organizational mission and values Ability to facilitate programming Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated experience working with juvenile or at-risk youth populations Proven ability to preach, teach, and provide pastoral counseling Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills Management or supervisory experience, preferably in a ministry or nonprofit setting Ability to travel statewide as needed Additional Requirements Pastoral reference required Work Environment & Travel This position operates in a hybrid work environment, combining remote administrative and planning responsibilities with in-person ministry engagement. Regular statewide travel is required to juvenile detention centers, partner organizations, and ministry sites. The Chaplain for Juvenile Ministry must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of youth, volunteers, and chaplains across multiple locations.
