Guided by DPC's mission, vision, and values, you'll be the primary staff leader for our ministry to middle and high school students (6th-12th grade). You'll build a cohesive ministry powered by adult volunteers, and you'll partner with parents and caregivers, because we only get an hour or two a week with students and the rest of their formation happens at home. Your aim is to raise up ever-increasing numbers of faithful followers of Christ, both inside our church and out in the community. You'll also help shape something new. Family Ministry is an emerging ministry at DPC, and you'll work alongside the Family & Children's Ministry Director and our Associate Pastor to engage, disciple, and support parents and guardians in their own faith and in the care of their children. DPC is a 125-year-old church in a season of transition, and we want someone who is excited to help build what comes next. Responsibilities Youth Ministry Share God's word and the Christian faith with students, helping them grow as followers of Jesus and preparing them spiritually for launch into adulthood.

Lead and plan the ministry:

weekly gatherings, worship, small groups, winter and summer camps, mission opportunities, and one-on-one outreach. Recruit, train, equip, and lead the adult volunteers who love students well and make our programs possible. Nurture a healthy culture where students feel known, welcomed, and safe. Develop and steward the Youth Ministry budget. Be part of the DPC staff team: attend staff meetings, take part in worship, and contribute to the broader life of the church. Keep growing in your own faith through prayer and ongoing learning. Take on other duties consistent with the role, as assigned by the Associate Pastor. Family Ministry Come alongside parents and caregivers, equipping them to lead their students' faith formation at home. Work with the Family Ministry team to plan and carry out family events and parent-focused programming. Skills A committed follower of Jesus Christ whose maturity and deep, prayerful dependence on God show in how you live and lead. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or currently pursuing one. Experience in youth ministry preferred. A real passion for working with students and helping them grow in their faith. Alignment with DPC's beliefs, as outlined in The Fellowship Community's abbreviated essential tenets. Success building teams and recruiting volunteers. Strong leadership, creative teaching approaches, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork in a positive atmosphere among staff and volunteers. Solid administrative and communication skills, and computer proficiency.
