Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to provide spiritual guidance, bereavement support, and religious leadership to patients, families, and our community. The ideal candidate will bring strong teaching skills, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for supporting individuals through terminal illness and grief. Responsibilities Provide spiritual care, religious guidance, and pastoral counseling to patients and their families facing terminal illness. Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and educational programs aligned with biblical theology and spiritual practices. Offer bereavement support through individual counseling, support groups, and community outreach initiatives. Develop and implement educational workshops on religious studies, grief management, and crisis intervention for diverse communities. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure holistic care that respects each patient's faith tradition and personal beliefs. Serve as a mentor and leader within the organization, fostering a supportive environment for staff and volunteers. Plan special events such as memorial services or spiritual retreats that promote healing and community engagement. Qualifications Proven experience in hospice care or related healthcare settings with a focus on spiritual guidance or pastoral counseling. Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak publicly and facilitate group discussions effectively. Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse communities with sensitivity and respect. Skilled in crisis management, conflict resolution, and terminal illness counseling. Ability to develop educational content, lead presentations, and write clearly for various audiences. Certification or ordination as a clergyperson is required; additional training in bereavement support or crisis intervention is advantageous.
