Job Description
Part-Time Worship Director Liberty Church | Lexington, MA 15 Hours per Week Position Overview Liberty Church is seeking a passionate, spiritually mature, and musically gifted Worship Director to lead and develop our worship ministry. The Worship Director will help create a Christ-centered worship environment that encourages people to encounter God, grow in their faith, and participate in the life of the church. This is a 15-hour-per-week part-time position working closely with the pastoral team, musicians, vocalists, and volunteers. Key Responsibilities Lead worship during Sunday services and special worship gatherings. Plan and prepare weekly worship sets in alignment with Scripture and the church's teaching. Lead and coordinate weekly worship rehearsals. Recruit, schedule, train, encourage, and develop worship team members. Build a healthy team culture centered on prayer, humility, excellence, and serving. Mentor developing musicians and worship leaders. Coordinate music, arrangements, charts, tracks, and other worship resources. Work closely with the pastor and church leadership in planning worship services. Help cultivate a worship ministry that reflects Liberty Church's mission and biblical values. Qualifications A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a growing personal relationship with Him. Demonstrates spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, and servant leadership. Strong vocal and/or instrumental ability with experience leading congregational worship. Previous experience leading worship in a local church. Passionate about helping people worship Jesus rather than simply creating a musical performance. Strong communication, organization, and team-building skills. Ability to recruit, develop, and encourage volunteers. Willingness to support Liberty Church's biblical beliefs, mission, and vision. Experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter, or similar worship tools is preferred. Time Commitment Approximately 15 hours per week, including: Sunday worship service Weekly rehearsal Worship planning and preparation Team communication and scheduling Leadership and development of worship volunteers Compensation This is a part-time, 15-hour-per-week position.
