Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Worship Pastor/Director to lead our congregation in vibrant, Spirit-filled worship experiences. This role is vital in cultivating an atmosphere of authentic praise and spiritual connection through music, teaching, and leadership. The Worship Pastor/Director will oversee the musical and spiritual development of the worship team, coordinate service music, and ensure that every worship experience aligns with our church's mission. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate weekly worship services, ensuring seamless musical and spiritual flow that engages the congregation. Manage and develop the church's music teams, including choir members, band musicians, vocalists, and instrumentalists. Select appropriate praise and worship music that aligns with the message and season of the church calendar. Conduct rehearsals for choir, band, and soloists; provide vocal training and mentoring to enhance musical excellence. Oversee musical arrangements, manage musical instruments, and ensure quality sound production during services. Foster a spirit of mentorship by guiding team members in their spiritual growth, musical skills, and leadership development. Collaborate with church leadership to integrate worship themes into sermons and outreach initiatives. Maintain and oversee musical liturgical knowledge to uphold high standards of musical performance. Qualifications Proven experience in church service musical performance, conducting praise and worship music, and leading a team of volunteers. Strong understanding of musical liturgical practices across various styles of praise music. Skilled in managing musical productions from planning to execution with attention to detail. Background in religious leadership within nonprofit faith-based organizations; experience mentoring team members is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and congregation members. Ability to lead with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude that inspires others to grow spiritually through music.
