Youth Outreach Director Journey Church Assembly of God Parkville, MD Job Details Part-time $15,000 - $18,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Experience working with high schoolers Experience working with middle schoolers Youth counseling Working with youth Youth program management Full Job Description Job Overview You will be building a youth ministry from the ground up. This is not a desk job, so you need to be the kind of person who gets out into the community to engage with youth and with parents. Your mission will be to build relationships with middle and high schoolers in order to introduce them to Jesus and incorporate them into the church youth group to build friendships and to be discipled. Responsibilities Get out into the community to engage with families and build relationships with them. Gather youth together weekly at the church for friendship, fun and spiritual growth Organize events that will connect with community youth and parents Develop a vision for the youth ministry Skills Enjoy and relatable with middle schoolers and high schoolers Track record of effectively working with youth Understanding that youth ministry is family ministry, able to minister not only to youth, but also actively connect with parents. Conscientious about working with church leadership to ensure the safety of the youth we minister to.
