reviews Full-time The Chaplain will provide spiritual guidance and growth opportunities, counseling, and solace for all belief systems for the organization's residents, staff and families.
Essential Functions:
Provide counseling, support and prayer to residents and staff in times of need. Actively participate in fostering a sense of community among residents and staff. Actively participates in the delivery of pastoral/spiritual care and responds to requests in a timely manner. Aid in building the community life of resident's by building self-esteem and a sense of belonging appropriate for each resident's well-being. Maintain a record of Chaplain's notes for the resident and medical files. Maintain lists of community pastors, churches, and other community resources to help with increasing the effectiveness of his/her ministry to the organization. Responsible for conducting weekly and/or organizing weekly worship opportunities within the organization for Independent Living, Assisted Living and the Health and Rehabilitation Center. Responsible for conducting special services in connection with the church year and Christian methodology. Lead annual memorial services for deceased residents or as requested by individual residents. Conduct funeral services as requested by residents or resident family members. Provide opportunities for bible study and spiritual growth for campus residents. Lead quarterly communion services for all staff and residents on campus and make participation arrangements for those unable to attend. Conduct visitation to hospitals and hospice house for admitted residents. Provide grief support groups and other needed services for the campus and community. Provide virtual spiritual services at least weekly. Provided 1:1 pastoral services to meet the many needs of resident's campus wide. Notify health services staff of any issues or concerns regarding residents. Participate in scheduled staff meetings. Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required and Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred. #IND
