A Help Desk Technician or Analyst provides technical support to computer users. Handles customer inquiries and works to resolve technical issues with computer hardware, software or networks. Provides customer support by phone, email, live chat or with screen sharing. May refer customers with complex system or application problems for more advanced technical support. Tracks help requests using a ticketing system.

Noon Friday Responsibilities/Duties:
Under general supervision, the Computer Support Specialist is responsible for installing, testing, monitoring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems and peripherals. Ensure proper computer operations so that end-users can accomplish business tasks. The employee will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, by help desk ticket, or via email) in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user assistance where required. Rely on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals through professional interactions with management and outside consultants. Reviews, analyzes, develops, and implements new additions, upgrades, and replacements to the computer/information systems. The Computer Support Specialist is responsible for identifying and resolving more complex computer/information system issues. Reports to Director of Information Technology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Requires an associate's degree in information technology with a minimum of 3 years of responsible experience with knowledge of Windows client/server environment, network systems operations, security, computer hardware/software applications, local and wide area networks, e-mail, and internet use, cyber security; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
