Orangeburg Wesley Foundation Orangeburg, South Carolina 29115 Full Time , On-Site The Orangeburg Wesley Foundation seeks a full-time campus minister to lead a collaborative, inclusive, and missional United Methodist ministry at Claflin University and South Carolina State University, as well as young adults from other local institutions of higher education. The Orangeburg Wesley Foundation focuses on service, spiritual growth, worship, and nurture. It is adjacent to the Claflin University and South Carolina State University campuses at 171 Boulevard St, Orangeburg, SC 29115. Qualifications Christian (United Methodist preferred) Master of Divinity or equivalent (diploma or candidate) preferred Local Pastor, Provisional Elder, or Ordained Elder preferred (or on track for ordination) Deacons and Deacon-track also considered Skills and Competencies Building Relations and Mentoring Pastoral counseling Fostering and building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community Calm and non-anxious presence Flexible and adaptable Oral and written communication Fundraising through various means Organizational administration, details, and logistics Digital Technology Competencies Biblical, theological, and spiritual literacy Ecumenical collaboration Areas of Responsibility Mission and Ministry Planning, facilitating, and leading programming Worship (liturgy, preaching, sacraments, music) Small Groups Retreats Mission trips (locally to internationally) Service projects, events Pastoral Care Personal and Organizational Responsibilities Shepherding and Counseling students, staff, and faculty Fundraising Collaborate with Board Convening with District, Conference, and Denomination University Work Claflin and SC State Faith Communities (an ecumenical group of campus faith professionals) Other local higher-education institutions Administration Finances Supervision of staff and student leadership Building Administration Relationships with tenants Physical Plant Salary and Benefits This appointment shall provide an annual salary of $55,335, payable in accordance with the organization's regular payroll schedule and subject to all applicable taxes, withholdings, and deductions. Future salary review or adjustment, if applicable, shall be conducted in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance expectations. In connection with this appointment, you shall be eligible for benefits offered to a clergy member of the SC Conference, including, as applicable, health insurance, retirement plan participation, paid time off, holidays, and any other benefits made available pursuant to applicable organizational policies. Specific benefit details, eligibility requirements, waiting periods, employee contributions, and plan limitations shall be governed by the applicable plan documents and related policies. To support your service in this role, the Orangeburg Wesley Foundation shall provide annual housing support for $15,000.00. This housing support shall be administered in accordance with applicable organizational policies and any related written agreements or requirements.
