Job Description
Senior Pastor - Southern Baptist ChurchFull-Time Position OverviewOur church is seeking a Senior Pastor called by God and aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The pastor will provide Christ-centered preaching, spiritual leadership, and compassionate shepherding as we pursue the Great Commission together. Responsibilities Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, faithfulness, and conviction.
Administer the ordinances of Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper according to Southern Baptist beliefs.
Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation; conduct weddings and funerals.
Lead and equip church staff, deacons, and ministry teams.
Guide the church's mission, vision, and ministries in cooperation with SBC partners and the Cooperative Program.
Perform other duties as the church may prescribe.
Qualifications Strong testimony of faith and call to pastoral ministry.
Ordained (or willing to be ordained) in a Southern Baptist church.
Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.Seminary training preferred; pastoral experience strongly desired.
Proven preaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
